Ghost stories, instrument building, and percussion workshops.
We are celebrating the spooky season this half-term with a day of blues-themed activities for all ages.
Build your own diddly-bow: Join us from 1pm to build your own diddly-bow from sustainable materials. Patrick has pre-cut unique bamboo pieces and provided a range of tuners and strings from his workshop for you to make your very own instrument from scratch. This workshop is suitable for all ages. Children under 8 will need to be supervised directly by a parent or guardian.
Ghost Story: Would you sell your soul to the devil in exchange for musical ability? Patrick will be telling the strange story of Robert Johnson, a blues legend whose life and death is shrouded in mystery. All sorts of tales have popped up over the years about this mysterious musician - what do you believe? The story will be accompanied by a live soundtrack, and hot and cold drinks will be provided.
Percussion Workshops: The brilliant Iain Mellor is back at Plucky Goat with his ever-expanding collection of drums! Learn about blues percussion from a master. The kids session is recommended for ages 6-14, and the adults session for ages 15+. Iain is raising money for a recording project in The Gambia this winter - all ticket revenue will be passed on to him in full.
You can buy tickets for all of the activities on our SumUp page.
